starry starry night 星空

effortlessly balanced between fantasy and reality, Tom Lin returns with another beautiful film. 
China's Josie Xu plays a 13 year old Xiao Mei, the only child of a distancing family. She finds herself distressed at home from all the fight between her family and unable to connect with schoolmates, Mei turns to her grandfather for comfort and his wooden toys that keep her company. When Jay (Eric Lin), a new transfer student is put into her class, his quietness trigger's Mei's curiosity. Their friendship buds and flourishes between the two lonely souls with a stressful family background. Mei finds happiness through their new friendship when her grandfather passes away and her parents announce their divorce. The two plan an escape from their family and little did they know, this adventure sparked loved between the two young, innocent spirits.
